Hi my name is Rob LeBel and I have been an avid angler from a very early age. I grew up fishing Lake Scugog in Port Perry where my passion for the sport of angling began.  I have been fishing tournaments at a club level since 2008 and I am still a proud member of the Golden Horseshoe Bass Anglers.  Being involved with a bass club provides me with the opportunities to stay competitive as an angler, educate myself and others, and have fun on the water with a great group of individuals.  In the off seasons I spend the majority of my time staying educated on the newest gear, technology, and baits.  Always looking forward to the next season after the ice melts

About me:
Father of 4 amazing kids, who all love to fish. With over 10 years of youth coaching for both soccer and basketball, my passion to teach kids new skills and how to apply them has been an awesome experience. As for many anglers we were taught to fish by a parent … at the age of 9 this holds true for me. Heading back north to Centennial Lake with my dad for the opening weekend of walleye and camping will forever be in my memories. Something I intend to pass on to my kids as well.

Fishing is my life and passion… I have been hooked on fishing ever since I caught my first fish! There was just something about it that made me want to do it more, A LOT MORE! I dream of a day where I will compete in the FLW series and call myself a professional angler. I started out tying flies and small jigs and then people started asking me about bucktail jigs.
I started up Blackjack Bucktails and it was a hit! I found that tying jigs was something I really love to do, and decided to launch my first business! I compete in many tournaments to be competitive and have some fun! I love catching smallmouth bass, as I believe they are the hardest fighting fish in the lake for its size… I’m a 14-year-old avid angler looking for someone to fish with! Current sponsors include Streamside, set the hook baits, Gagnon sports, Envive chiropractic.

·         2015 CSFL Ladies Night Tournament – Scugog

·         2016 Rapala Perch Challenege – Lake Simcoe

Born and raised into an outdoor-oriented family, I developed a passion for fishing and hunting at a very young age and never grew out of it. I am a multi-species angler – if it has fins, I have fished for it. My favourite game animals to hunt include moose, white-tailed deer, black bear, wild turkey and grouse. I have always loved the outdoors and spend as much time as I can outside. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the sport with anyone who shows an interest.

In 2012, I worked at a fishing lodge in north western Ontario, on Lac Seul – the second largest body of water within Ontario. Fishing is a constant learning experience, that presents ever changing challenges, and this is just one of many reasons why it is my passion.

Realizing that fishing and hunting is my life, and eager to pursue a related career, I attended Sir Sandford Fleming College, graduating with a diploma in Fish and Wildlife Technology, as well as Forestry. I am currently employed as an Environmental Technician, where I focus on efforts to conserve and protect our natural resources so they can be enjoyed and cherished for years to come.

The challenge and intellect required to consistently have success in the sport of fishing is what drives my addiction. I hope to participate in more competitive events for the 2016 season to gain experience in tournament angling.

I grew up with a love of fishing, boating and anything to do with being on the water. Georgian Bay was my playground as a child, and it was my favourite place to spend time with my parents. As an adult, my love of fishing has brought a great deal to my life and is something that I passed on to my own children. Competitive angling caught my interest many years ago, and I joined a local B.A.S.S. chapter. Tournament fishing turned out to be a great way to feed my competitive nature, but even better… it was an amazing opportunity to learn and surround myself with the friendship and camaraderie of fellow anglers. While I no longer fish tournaments like I used to, fishing is still a great way to unwind after a long week at work and to get outdoors. (Once in a while, I even manage to show Doug a thing or two!!!) I still love early morning blast offs, weigh ins and the excitement of all that tournament angling entails. I tend to spend much of my time riding shotgun with Doug as he fishes events and love to experience new lakes!

About Me: I was born into a fishing family, so I have been bass fishing ever since I can remember. Spent most of my days growing up fishing on Pigeon Lake at my Grandparents cottage. All I have ever wanted to do since I was a young boy is fish professional bass tournaments for a living. My boat is a 2006 Bass Cat Puma with a 250 Racing Merc. I excel at fishing any kind of heavy cover, but in the past few years I have dedicated a lot of time on figuring out smallies in deep water and fishing offshore structure. I do offer a guiding service through Angling Sports in London, Ontario specializing in smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing trips on Lake St. Clair, Rondeau Bay, and Long Point.

Born and raised in the fish rich waters of Kingston Ontario where I work as a Firefighter for the City. I enjoy fishing for many different species of fish but bass is at the top of my list. Flipping, pitching and chucking frogs for largemouth was always my passion until the very addictive smallmouth came along. Now drop shots, jerk baits and tubes are in my arsenal. Because of that I feel that I am a more rounded/versatile tournament angler of 25 years and counting. “a day on the water with nothing learned is a wasted day”

I’ve been fishing as long as I can remember, my Dad would take us all fishing for Pike with a red and white and a big ole sucker minnow. I was lucky to have my close family that enjoys fishing as much as I do. Pat, Mario and frank we quickly went away from the red and white (we still joke about doing it one day) to our first love, river fishing.   Once the rivers were done we quickly transitioned to Walleye, we did that religiously till we were bit with the bass bug in 2004 when we started bass fishing.  The four of us quickly transitioned to tournament fishing in 2006. Have a passion for both small bodies of water and the great lakes chasing Largemouth and smallmouth. Flipping, pitchin, drop shot, draggin, crankin love it all.  One of my favorite things to do is figure out new innovative baits and setups to catch fish.
